No matter the season, it’s always important to have a good pair of sunglasses on when the sun is shining.
Besides protecting your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays and providing you with a more comfortable vision during the day, a good set of shades also have the power to complement your outfit and elevate your style.
For this reason, it was a pleasure to find and review the best sunglasses on the market right now to put together for this guide. We looked at Ray-Ban, Oakley, Prada, Costa, Quay, and other brands that are just doing it right.
We’ve reviewed both men’s and women’s sunglasses and have divided them into three different price ranges. Also, all of the models on our list provide UV protection so you can safely wear them when you go outside.
- Havaianas Paraty Square
This brand knows the beach is like the palm of their hands and summer for them is not just a season, but a state of mind. So it’s no surprise that the makers of the famous Havaianas flip-flops would also enter the eyewear market.
Inspired by the widely popular Brazilian sandals, the Havaianas Paraty Square sunglasses feature vibrant and bold colors, non-polarized and UV-protected mirrored lenses, and soft rubber arms just like the sandals.
And just like the sandals, they’re also super cool, stylish, and very comfortable. Pair them with your Havaianas sandals and you’re ready to hit the beach.
They’re available in a variety of colors, lenses, and models for men, women, and kids.
- Woodies Polarized
When we think of fun in the sun, chilling under a palm tree, or hitting that summer music festival, there’s only one pair of shades that comes to mind, the Woodies Polarized Walnut Wood sunglasses.
Rough-sea approved and made from eco-friendly material, this is one of the coolest sunglasses on the market right now–and one of our favorites too!
They boast a clear frame, which is very popular at the moment, polarized anti-reflective lenses that are also UV-protected, and their signature wood temples, which are handmade from real walnut wood.
These shades are pretty well-crafted, they fit nicely, and do a great job at filtering the sun while also providing amazing clarity. They’re also super stylish and affordable.
One of the coolest things we found about the Woodies is how much thought the brand has put into the details and product presentation. On one of the arms, you’ll find a “See you at the beach” carving and besides the carrying case and lens cloth that most brands include with the sunglasses, they also send you a guitar wood pick.
- Quay Kosha Comeback
Quay sunglasses of Australia are something of an outlier in the eyewear industry. These stylish and lightweight shades are worn by celebs and are distinctive for their round reflective lens.
They cover your eyes generously and nicely keep the glare off with crisp viewing thanks to the reflective coating. They are non-polarized but seem to have the same effect nonetheless.
Be aware that the color brown for the lens actually describes the sandy reflection more than it means anything resembling kaki or paper baggish. Quay sunglasses do eyewear well and the Koshas prove it.
